MEET SARAH
MY STORY
With a well-rounded background in both lending and mortgage brokering, I’m passionate about helping clients make confident, informed decisions about their financial future.
My career started with 15 years in the high-tech world working my way to Project / Operation Accountant positions with prominent high-tech companies. These roles allowed me to expand my budgeting, financial reporting and compliance skills.
In 2009 I earned my broker license and transitioned into the mortgage broker industry having a passion for personal finance. I started my first few years working alongside a mortgage broker. I then expanded my mortgage knowledge and moved into an underwriting role with a major bank. After a couple of years, I moved to an underwriting center for a large brokerage. This opportunity helped expand my knowledge with not only A lenders, but alternative, mortgage investment corporations and private lenders.
2018 to 2025 I’m moved to Partner and Senior Mortgage Underwriter at Team De Vuyst where I continued to grow, learn and mentor. Today, I continue to work in the best interests of my clients and building long term connections.
On a personal side I achieved a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in human resources and a minor in economics. I have a WSET Sommelier level 1 and hope to complete my level 2 soon.
I have volunteered with Junior Achievement where I’ve visited elementary schools teaching the values of finance to our young people.
I’m a mom to two driven student athletes who are both attending university. My passion is horseback riding where I volunteer as Treasurer for Delta Riding Club and compete locally in 3-day events with my horse Stewart.
